Judge - Mike Jeffries

Mike Jeffries, for the past few bios here at the Club, has talked about not having a home yet in a particular photographic genre and that he simply likes to shoot whatever is in front of the best he can.  He finally figured out what that is and calls himself a photopportunist (trademark pending).  He shoots a full-frame Canon 6D and an infrared-converted Canon 40D. He has a flailing portrait side-business and is still trying to find the time to fully launch his fine arts photo website (mikivus.com).

He has exhibited his work at Chesterfield Arts, the Camera Club’s 100th Anniversary exhibition at The Sheldon, and the Bullivant Gallery in Grand Center.  However, his greatest pride with the camera comes through his charitable donations.  Over the last few years his photography has raised over $20,000 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Caring Solutions, and a few other organizations.

His greatest pride in life is his three kids Madigan, Marshall, and Malia who are now 15, 11, and 7.  Professionally he is a Manager of Clinical Operations in a large biotech research outfit, currently working in early-phase oncology clinical trials.

Having joined in 2010, Mike is in his 10thyear in the camera club. He’s a former director and current director-elect of the Club’s Board of Directors.  He’s participated on the print, Mississippi Valley, and PSA Youth committees as well as running our PSA Interclub efforts for 4 years.  He is Class A in Color Prints, Nature, and Travel and Salon Class in Mono Prints, Open Digital, and PJ, collecting over 200 club points along way.
