Jenn Mishra traveled extensively throughout the United States and Europe with her trusty point-and-shoot camera for many years before discovering photography as a serious hobbyist. A 365 Project begun in 2015 honed her photography skills and ignited her passion for the art of photography.
Her photos have been included in a number of local and regional exhibitions including Seen 10 and 11 at Studio Altius where she won first prize in Travel. She also won Grand Prize in the Mississippi River Art and Photography Shootout and an Honorable Mention in the 2017 St. Louis Post Dispatch Travel Photo Contest.
Jenn has been awarded a solo exhibition at the St. Charles Foundry as part of their Emerging Artists series.
Her photos have been published in the St. Louis Gateway Magazine and the book “Atlas Obscura: An Explorer’s Guide to the World’s Hidden Wonders”. She also wrote the St. Louis entry for the travel app “Fripito”.
Jenn is an orchestral musician and music educator by profession and is a frequent speaker at national and international conferences. She writes extensively on music including an upcoming music textbook published by Oxford University Press.
