Biography for Danny Brown

Danny Brown is a freelance wildlife photographer, specializing in Missouri animals. Danny holds a Master’s Degree in Fisheries and Wildlife from University of Missouri, and served 25 years as biologist with the Missouri Department of Conservation, during which time he contributed over 50 stories about his wildlife photography adventures to Missouri Conservationist.

Danny’s photos have been featured on the covers of Birdwatching, Birds and Blooms, Missouri Conservationist, Xplor, Outdoor Illinois, Big River Magazine, and the Missouri Natural Events Calendar. Other publications include National Wildlife, Ducks Unlimited, Missouri Prairie Journal, Colorado Outdoors, Alabama Outdoors, Montana Outdoors, Kansas Wildlife and Parks Magazine, and St. Louis Magazine. Danny’s images have also been published in several books, including three National Geographic bird guides, and he is a perennial contributor to the Ducks Unlimited Calendar. Danny and his wife, Joyce, live on 60 acres outside of Union, Missouri, where he captures many of his best images.
