HOLIDAY CANDLELIGHT PHOTO OP (5:15 PM CST)
Bob and Margaret Schmidt will lead a visit to the Daniel Boone Home, in Defiance, MO, on Friday, December 14, 2018, featuring an opportunity for St. Louis Camera Club members to photograph the “Christmas Candlelight” festivities that evening. By special arrangement with the Boone Home management, we will be allowed early access to the grounds and re-enactments – tripods allowed! We will meet in the parking lot at 5:15 PM and will be admitted around 5:30. (The general public will not be allowed to enter until 6:00.) Weather permitting, we will photograph at the Boone House park until around 7:00, then drive to Augusta (which is about 9 miles to the West). In Augusta we will photograph the “Candlelight Christmas Walk”, which will include streets lined with luminaries, horse-drawn carriage rides, and other festivities. Food will be available in Augusta (individual settlement). The “Walk” will be finished by 10:00 PM. All the details are available in this PDF.
